Montreux is located in the canton of Vaud in the romandy part of Switzerland.
You can reach Montreux with three different ways of transportation.

If arriving to the conference by air, there is a train station located in the Geneva airport with inexpensive direct connections to Montreux every one-half hour. The journey takes about 70-80 minutes.
Among European cities, Geneva is a popular destination of many international and low-cost airlines. Altogether, there are more than a hundred direct daily flights landing in Geneva connecting it to European and International capitals and key cities.

If arriving to the conference by rail, Montreux is easily accessible by train from most European states, e.g. Paris (4h) or Milan (3h). Switzerland’s national rail network connects Montreux to the rest of Switzerland as well as Europe.
The conference hotel is conveniently located near the Montreux train station. From the station, there are different ways to reach the Conference Venue (Royal Plaza Hotel):
- By walking: it’s about a 10 min walk
- By Taxi: it will take you about 5 min to reach the hotel
- By Bus: the bus n°201 runs from across the train station direct to the hotel within 6 min and runs every 10 min.

Thanks to the highly efficient road network throughout Switzerland and Europe, Montreux is easily accessible by car. Arriving from the direction of Zürich, Geneva or Lausanne, you can reach Montreux via the A1 motorway.
Please note that a motorway sticker, “vignette”, is compulsory to drive on motorways and semi-highways. Valid for 1 year the vignette costs 40 CHF and is on sale at post offices, petrol stations and customs offices.
